The nearest airport for domestic and international air transfers is Auckland Airport, while the local Taupo Airport offers optional connections for shorter onward drives. Taupo Airport is a one-hour-and-a-half drive to Tongariro Suites Guests who are self-driving or hiring a car can expect a four-and-a-half road trip from Auckland, a four-hour drive from Wellington or a three-hour drive from Rotorua.
