Located on the edge of Tongariro National Park, in the middle of the Ruapehu Region, in the tiny village of Horopito, you will feel a thousand miles away from everywhere.
However Ohakune, our nearest village has a supermarket and a great range of restaurants and take-out options and is only a 10 minute drive away. Every suite has a mountain view and the sunrise, sunset, rising of the moon and star gazing are just glorious from our location.We are centrally located between both Turoa and Whakapapa Ski fields. The Tongariro Crossing and all other great walks in the national park are only a 30-minute drive away.
The Old Coach Cycle trail can be started at our doorstep and the Mountains to the Sea cycle trail runs past our side boundary.

I’m Mandy, your host.
Our Story
This has always been a family business, built with love since its earliest days. I found this beautiful place during Covid, in the strange stillness when everything else was closed. Something about it stayed with me. So I took a leap of faith and bought it, not knowing what was coming next, but knowing this was somewhere worth caring for.
It has given me so much in return, not just as a livelihood, but as something deeper. It’s become my passion, my home, and my main source of spirit. And the most wonderful part of all is that I get to share it with you.
The couple who first built this place, Carel and Elsbeth, have since retired, but the warmth they started here is something I carry forward every day, in every welcome.
My mission is simple, to make you feel at home. Alongside that, we care deeply for the earth and nature around us, protecting what we’ve been given, so we can all enjoy this beauty in harmony and stay this way for many more generations to come.
